Today, I decided to check out FRESHFARM Dupont Circle Market and I could not have been happier.

Washington, D.C. is very expensive to live in and sometimes it feels pricer than NYC. Although it could just be that New York has such a large variety of everything, but I guess the answer would be subjective here.

Back to my point, I was very happy to find an outdoor market where I could get some fresh produce without breaking the bank.

First, I went online to OpenTable.com and signed up to reserve a timed entry spot to enter the market. There is also an option on the market website that allows customers to pre-order items and opt for pickup. Although these steps are not necessary to enter the market, the feature was put in place to aid with crowd control and accessibility during COVID.

After signing up, I arrived on time and was able to enter the market and check out the different vendors.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that there were lots of reasonably priced baked goods (some gluten free options), meats, cheeses, beers, flowers, and a plethora of delicious items offered that weren’t only exclusive to produce.

Speaking of produce, the smell of the fresh farm picked vegetation invigorating the air made me think back to the wonderful and healthy options that I had while living as an expat in Santorini, Greece.

This foodie definitely approved!

Collectively, I feel like visiting FRESHFARM Dupont Circle Market was a major score.

According to its website, FRESHFARM is a non-profit organization that operates in 30 different markets while providing affordable fresh produce to communities, low-income families, EBT participants, seniors, and gives back to local farmers by providing a means of additional income.

I definitely suggest giving them a go if you are ever in one of their operating vicinities.

With love and good health,

Sierra
