In December, we traveled to some very picturesque locations in search of some northern Greece highlights for the holidays.

The first leg of the trip required a plane ride from Santorini to Athens. During winter, Santorini only offers flights to Athens and back due to it being off-season. There was a lot of space upon arrival to Santorini’s newly renovated airport and everything moved seamlessly.

Estate Argyros is one of Santorini’s most visually gratifying and grandiose wineries in all of the island.

Besides it’s looks, it boosts an award winning Vinsanto that is advertently aged from the 1990’s. However, before I get into wine notes, let me elaborate a bit on this 116 year old family-owned establishment.

There are over 20 wineries on the small Cycladic island of Santorini, Greece. Today’s adventure lead me to Venetsanos Santorini Winery, located right above the port in the village of Megalochori. The sights upon arrival were heavenly as the location depicted ethereal views of the caldera.

There are 6,000 Greek islands and islets. They all have many things in common, but each one has its own unique attributes and characteristics across the Ionian and Aegean Sea. With that said, I was very excited to finally travel to Paros this past weekend 😊.
