Georgetown has quite a lot to offer for anyone that is a history buff at heart as the town was founded in 1751 and there are plenty of preserved attractions all around. The Chesapeake and Ohio Canal or C&O Canal for short, is probably one of Georgetown’s most profound and chronological features as the body of water cuts through the small town and stretches at a total of 184.5 miles.

The United States National Arboretum is an outdoor nature reserve which spans across 446 acres of land and boasts around 600,000 visitors a year.

The location is best known for its distinguished types of flora that are featured in single‑genus groupings and classified gardens.

Dupont Circle is a trendy D.C. neighborhood that is filled with educational institutes, restaurants, shops, history and CULTURE. The location actually was my first choice when preparing for the move to D.C. but I eventually found something in Georgetown which is just a quick hop and skip away.
