“Why would you leave NYC for Greece?”

This was a common question that I was asked from Greeks who perceived me to be a young millennial, from a promising city, and leaving many opportunities behind.

Did you know that there are close to 6,000 Greek islands and islets?

Syros is an island after my own heart with it’s relaxed charm, pastel colored building structures, performing arts, and little crowds.

I’ve only lived in the Greek isles for about 3 months, and I already can tell that Syros is quite the hidden gem. The island is the capital of the Cyclades Islands and is a 3 hour ferry ride from Santorini.

Paris… where do I begin?

The City of Lights has something in store for every globetrotter and eccentric foodie from it’s enchanting architecture to it’s world class cuisine.

Spreading my wings and flying with the anticipation of trying something new was instilled in me at a very young age thanks to my mom. It means a lot to me when people twice my age tell me that I have inspired them to take extreme chances and travel beyond borders.

With that said, traveling to another country for leisure with the knowledge of a return is one thing. However traveling with a one way ticket is a whole new reality check.
